Abou Dhabi, EAU – 24 Février 2020 : Mubadala Investment Company (« Mubadala »), un des plus importants fonds souverains au monde, a annoncé aujourd’hui la signature d’un Memorandum of Understanding (« MoU ») avec Bpifrance, la banque publique d’investissement, confirmant ainsi sa participation au premier closing du fonds LAC I, un fonds de plusieurs milliards d’euros gérés par Bpifrance. Le fonds prévoit de lever 10 milliards d’euros, qui seront investis au cours de la prochaine décennie dans environ 15 sociétés cotées de premier plan bénéficiant d’un ancrage français significatif. Le fonds LAC I mettra ainsi à profit l’expertise unique de Bpifrance dans la gouvernance de sociétés cotées.
Le MoU a été signé par Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi représentant Mubadala, et Nicolas Dufourcq représentant Bpifrance.

En 2017, Mubadala rejoignait Bpifrance afin de créer une plateforme dotée d’1 milliard d’euros, dont l’objectif était de réaliser des investissements privés dans l’économie française. Cette plateforme d’investissement était conçue pour stimuler la croissance d’entreprises françaises, notamment dans les secteurs de la technologie, de la santé et de l’éducation, tout en poursuivant un objectif de création de valeur.
Mubadala Sovereign Investment Partnerships a développé des programmes de co-investissement entre le gouvernement des Emirats Arabes Unis (EAU) et ses homologues internationaux depuis 2013, notamment avec la Chine, la France, la Grèce, le Kazakhstan et la Russie. Ces partenariats stratégiques permettent de soutenir la politique d’investissement des EAU tout en développant et en renforçant des relations de long terme avec les pays partenaires.
Mubadala to commit to Bpifrance's LAC I Fund
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 24 February, 2020: Mubadala Investment Company (“Mubadala”), one of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bpifrance, the French national investment bank, to commit upon the first closing of the LAC I Fund, a multibillion fund managed by Bpifrance. The fund targets to raise €10 billion which will be invested in approximately 15 leading listed companies with strong links to France over the next decade, leveraging on Bpifrance’s 10-year unique governance expertise in listed companies.
The MoU was signed by Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi from Mubadala and Nicolas Dufourcq from Bpifrance.

In 2017, Mubadala joined Bpifrance to create a €1 billion investment platform aimed at private investments in the French economy. The investment platform was designed to foster the growth of French companies across technology, healthcare, education and others while pursuing superior risk-adjusted returns.
Mubadala’s Sovereign Investment Partnerships business has been managing commercially driven co-investment programs between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Government and foreign counterparts that include China, France, Greece, Kazakhstan and Russia since 2013.
